Our infrastructure development life cycle consists of three key stages – Discovery, Implementation and Support – each subdivided into smaller phases. This approach is Agile, which means we can be as effective and flexible as a client requires.
The Discovery stage includes the review, consultation, roadmap creation, and solution architecture development phases.
During the initial meeting, our specialists get to know the customer’s technology stack and estimate new potential growth areas for their business. This is followed by the Review phase – a thorough examination of the customer’s existing infrastructure, identifying its bottlenecks and pain points. The process involves close communication with developers and product owners to find out their specific wishes and needs.
The review results in a consultation where our specialists present for consideration a plan of their solution and explain how it could help boost the customer’s processes. The estimated scope of work is then arranged into a roadmap of works with defined tasks and planned delivery time, and the solution architecture development begins.
The Implementation stage implies realization of project goals defined in the roadmap. According to the agreements, we allocate the necessary number of engineering hours and engage required specialists to implement the roadmap on time. Our PMs organize the work of DevOps engineers, monitor their progress, and report to the customer.
Typical tasks within the Implementation stage include infrastructure coding, setup of services and code delivery pipelines (CI/CD), configuration and testing of observability systems, implementation of backup, and disaster recovery procedures, data migration and documentation.
Once the main project workflows are complete, we remain available to offer field maintenance and technical support. The Support stage includes incident management 24/7, system improvements and maintenance, service updates, technical consulting, and support.
Our specialists monitor the state of customers’ systems around the clock, identify failures and take actions to restore normal operation. SHALB engineers also perform security patches and updates of customers’ software, and provide all kinds of technical consulting and support.
